One of the aspects of graphic design which I find especially fun is the creation of quality collages. In the past I would create collages for static headers, yet with the influence of jQuery the static header is not nearly as common as it once was. Here is an example of a collage I created for a client website a few years back utilizing his art work.
With Facebook I began to make collages again as a way to provide visual continuity across media. The Facebook “cover image” can be effectively utilized, allowing the creation of something unique utilizing the collage format. For my Facebook clients I do create simple collages for the sake of branding as shown in the following example. The goal with Facebook collages is to ensure that the Facebook page has a similar look/feel as the website and blog as applicable. Note that the left-bottom corner is left deliberately blank of content since the Facebook picture will show there.
Most recently I’ve been creating collage coffee mugs for friends and family. Of course everyone loves the mugs since they are “one of a kind” and visually fun! So I started thinking how effective collage mugs and cups could be for many businesses.
The company I use for the mug creation is CafePress. Beyond coffee mugs, they also have stainless water bottles, and most anything else that you can imagine printing a design upon. I note this since you may be thinking of a fun way to present your business. I can create you a professional, yet very fun coffee or travel mug, stainless steel water bottle, tote bags, etc. All it takes is a variety of quality images and I’ll take the time to add individual elements to create a unified whole that will dazzle!
Development time for most collages is 3 to 6 hours, and collages are billed per my hourly rate.
Of course I can do this for personal use as well, be it events such as weddings, holidays, birthdays, etc. Contact me if you are interested in my custom collage services from your photos.
